About Department

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (1st Shift) at LIT offers a comprehensive 3-year Diploma program designed to build strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in students. The curriculum blends foundational computing concepts with hands-on training in advanced technologies to prepare students for real-world industry demands.

The department is supported by highly qualified and dedicated faculty members, modern laboratories equipped with 250+ intelligent nodes, high-performance systems, and industry-standard software tools. Students gain experience using platforms such as Windows, Red Hat Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, and various development suites. All labs are connected with high-speed LAN and 40 Mbps round-the-clock internet, enabling students to carry out projects, research assignments, and practical experiments efficiently.

The CSE diploma focuses on core domains including Coding, Web Development, Data Analytics, Networking, and Database Management. Graduates are equipped with the technical skills and confidence to pursue careers such as Software Developer, Network Administrator, Database Manager, Web Developer, Cybersecurity Assistant, Cloud Technician, and more. The program also supports students interested in launching their own start-ups or freelance careers.
