M.Tech deals with the specializations in specific engineering streams. Students can opt any of the specialization related to their Bachelor’s degree.

Well B.Tech is enough to get good job in engineering field but if you’ve M.Tech degree along with B.Tech then, it expands your career prospects. At some point where many technically skilled competitors are available but you will be given preference because of your higher qualification. If you are working for a corporate company, then your salary package will be Rs. 4 to 6 lacs per annum, depending upon the organization for which you are working.

In a teaching profession as an assistant professor, you can earn Rs. 25,000 to 40,000/- as salary. Salary may increase with the years of experience.

ADMISSION

Admissions into M.Tech programme is purely done through the national level or state level entrance exam. Desirous candidates have to appear the entrance exam for taking admission. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the all India level examination which provides admission in IITs. GATE scores are also accepted by many reputed engineering institutions.
